Honoured to have my poem “Angel” displayed for the J’Parlé: We(‘re) Here art exhibition! Back when I wrote “Angel”, it was an act of giving myself my flowers. If anything, it was my form of resistance and advocacy to hold appreciative space for myself regardless if I am made space for by others or not. The grass is always greener wherever you are, because it should be the grass you water yourself. The exhibit is held at 101 E Archer St Tulsa, OK 74103. It’ll stay up for the Parla Festival until September 28th.
